Smoked Salmon FAQs, etc

Packs:

  • All our smoked Scottish salmon is vacuum packed and supplied on boards

  • Interleaved where appropriate

  • As a general rule 200 grams is sufficient for 4 people as a starter or

  • Two generous portions for a main course

Postage and Packing:

  • All parcels are packaged in polystyrene boxes and polybags

  • All prices exclude packing and carrier rate within UK . For all items, £6.75 should be added for delivery on the UK mainland.

  • For deliveries outwith the UK, ie Europe, Channel Islands and Eire, freight costs start at £24.60 for the first 2.5 kg within Europe, therefore a few items may be sent for just one freight charge.

  • Europe - no purchase less than £20 value via  DHL, but to be discussed.

  • USA - please note that presently we cannot accept orders for the USA due to FDA regulations; we will inform you if this changes.

  • Countries to which we may not send smoked Scottish Salmon

Hampers and Fresh Seafood

These are for UK delivery only.  As the Hampers may contain alcohol we cannot ship overseas unless we procure special licenses and then weight  comes into the equation - we are working on it!

Because fresh seafood is rather dependant on the weather as to availability, overseas shipment just becomes too complicated. Lets see how  the system works within the UK first!

Serving Suggestions:

Smoked salmon is at its best served simply, a few drops of lemon juice, a sprinkling of ground black pepper and brown bread and butter.   Nevertheless, it is also delicious added to pasta, in scrambled eggs for breakfast or used to make a tasty smoked salmon mousse.

How to store:

Smoked salmon should be kept cool, refrigerated and well wrapped. If you do not require it immediately smoked salmon will freeze very well indeed for several months.

As a gift:

We are happy to send sides or packs to friends or relatives, enclosing any messages or greeting cards (we normally provide a suitable card) along with your order. If you do not wish to send a gift but think someone would like to receive our brochure, fill in their name and address in the Brochure Request

Delivery & Payment:

Please allow a maximum 14 days for delivery from receipt of order.  Our ordering system is totally secure - your data is used purely for the purpose of carrying out your instructions and under no circumstances passed to any other party whatsoever.

Orders for Christmas:

This is an exceptionally busy time of the year for us, so we always appreciate early orders. Orders marked ‘For Christmas Delivery’ will be despatched about 10 days before Christmas to avoid the very last minute rush. Although we will do our very best to fulfil late orders, we request that orders be in by the   :
5th December 2007 for UK and
30th November 2007 for Europe, to avoid disappointment.
